About this device

336 diodes at 660 nm red and 850 nm near-infrared across the whole scalp, in a foldable cap that runs wired or on a battery pack. Whole-scalp coverage is the approach most trials used, as opposed to a comb you drag across a parting. We have not verified this cap against any trial.

Randomised trials have studied low-level light therapy for thinning hair, using specific devices. We have not verified that this device matches them or holds FDA clearance. It also takes three to six months and it reverses if you stop. Both of those sentences are on this page for a reason.
